Watching the moon at midnight,
I knew myself completely,
No part left out

~ Izumi Shikibu

Tehroma has lived full time in Los Barriles since 1994, having lived here for two
years previously for HS creating life long friendships with local families. Tehroma
has lived and traveled through Mainland Mexico and was born in Oregon, USA.

For years, Tehroma wore many  hats in the construction industry, starting in 1994,
then Designing and Building Custom Homes since 2003.

She began practicing yoga in 2007 and it was love at first crescent lunge, feeling deeply

at home in her own heart, body, mind and soul in the practice. She walked up to her teacher after class
and shared that practice felt like prayer, a connection with the divine.

Regular attendance in community classes, trainings and devotion to a strong
personal practice resulted in sharing this ancient art & science with others; she has
been teaching since 2014. Among the continuing education she has undergone as a
lifelong student, Tehroma completed her first 200 hours of YTT at Yandara Yoga
Institute in Todos Santos, specialized in Restorative-Therapeutic Yoga through
advanced YTT  training at Yoghar Estudio in La Paz and in January of 2023
graduated from a two year long Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification
Program with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. She currently completed a course with

Yoga Medicine on Traditional Chinese Medicine and it's application in the yoga setting.

Tehroma retired from the world of Architecture in 2022 to dedicate her work life to
the ancient Healing Arts of Thai Massage &; Reiki, as well as, teach Mindfulness
Meditation and Yoga.

Her newest addition to the wide range of healing modalitites she offers is Ayurvedic

Nutrition. Tehroma believes that food is art and a deep source for connection, healing,

culture and creativity!

She loves the outdoors and recently moved with her husband and small dog to their
Cob Casita empty-nest cozily nestled into a beautiful desert hillside. Off grid and
completely surrounded by nature with no neighbors in site and a bumpy three-mile
dirt road drive from the nearest highway, she feels completely and utterly at home.
It is a privilege to live closely connected to the natural world, to listen deeply to the
sounds of silence, birds and breezes; to see the horizon in the distance, mountains
surrounding, watch the desert transform with little drops of rain and notice the
changes in the season as each day the sun rises a little further south. Tapping into
this deep quiet on a regular basis is foundational for her mindfulness practice, an
ongoing awakening of the senses and deepening in embodied presence.

Tehroma believes wholeheartedly in the power of healing, wholeness and feeling at
home in the heart, body, mind and soul; a mindful and continual integration of all

the parts that make one whole: Diversity, Equity, Accessibility and Inclusion on an
individual level, community and global level.
